PTT: Thailänder investieren in biobasierte Chemikalien

Um in Zukunft biobasierte Materialien zu erzeugen, hat der thailändische Petrochemiekonzern PTT Chemical Group (Bangkok / Thailand) 60 Mio USD in das Biotechunternehmen Myriant Technologies Inc (Boston / USA) investiert und die Gründung eines JV vereinbart. Das Gemeinschaftsprojekt soll mit Hilfe der Myriant-Technologien in der Region Südostasien Chemikalien auf Basis von Bernsteinsäure produzieren, die bei der Herstellung von Kunststoffen die Rohstoffe auf Erdölbasis ersetzen können.

Myriant nutzt einen Teil der PTT-Gelder für den Bau einer Anlage in Lake Providence (Louisiana), die aus Hirse Bernsteinsäure erzeugen soll. Das neue Werk soll in der ersten Jahreshälfte 2012 den Betrieb aufnehmen.

Sanpo has developed three new SEBS types for a continuous operating temperature of up to 210°C for 500 h . Material and data sheets will be available beginning of 2010.

Since a few weeks now ClickPlastics AG can also offer the new TPE V0 halogene free VW1 products for cable shielding and cable jackets. Those products are approved by Philips and Leoni.
